This year’s “Best High Schools” ranking by U.S. News was released in August, and Hopedale Junior Senior High School ranked 44th in the state (out of 353) and 880th in the nation (out of 17,945). It received an overall score of 95.1 out of 100. 

The report states, “Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.” 

Ranking factors included college readiness (56th in the state), college curriculum breadth (39th), state assessment proficiency (66th), state assessment performance (49th), and graduation rate (60th tie). 

Hopedale Jr.-Sr. High School includes grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 278 students and a student/teacher ratio of 10:1. 

The number one ranked high school in the state, again, is Boston Latin Academy.
