The Hopedale Junior-Senior High School stage came alive with music, energy, and unforgettable performances as students presented the musical Footloose on Friday and Saturday, March 13–14, to a full house of family members, friends, and community supporters.
The story follows a teenager who moves to a small town where dancing is banned, and follows the journey of young people working to bring music, freedom of expression, and understanding back to their community. The production featured fun choreography, powerful vocals, and a talented student cast who captured the excitement of this classic musical.
The performances were a testament to the incredible dedication and talent of our students. From the actors on stage to the hardworking stage crew behind the scenes, countless hours of rehearsal and preparation resulted in a production that the Hopedale community will not soon forget. Their teamwork, creativity, and commitment shined throughout the weekend.
A special thank you goes to Christopher Chatham, who served as producer, music director, and choreographer, and to Lindsay Mayotte, the director, for their leadership and efforts in guiding students through the process of putting on this production. We are also grateful to the Hopedale Friends of Music, our supportive families, and the entire Hopedale community for championing the arts and supporting our students. Their encouragement and generosity continue to make opportunities like this possible for our young performers.
