Kallie Allen of Hopedale is a passionate advocate for the skilled trades
Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School (BVT) Superintendent-Director Dr. Michael F. Fitzpatrick proudly announces BVT’s 2025 MAVA Outstanding Vocational Technical Student—Kallie Allen of Hopedale, a senior in the Biotechnology program.
Kallie is an outstanding student whose academic, vocational, and extracurricular achievements and contributions at BVT and beyond warranted this recognition. As an award recipient, Kallie was honored at the 39th annual Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators (MAVA) Outstanding Vocational Technical Student Awards Ceremony at Mechanics Hall in Worcester on April 10.
Throughout her high school career, Kallie has proven to be a passionate advocate for the skilled trades. As the National High School President of SkillsUSA, she travels across the country to promote the impact of career and technical education, building on her previous role as the State President of SkillsUSA Massachusetts from 2023 to 2024. Kallie also serves as the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) Delegate for both the NTHS and the National Honor Society (NHS) chapters at BVT. Her dedication to local organizations, such as Project Just Because and Pawfect Life Rescue, earned her the Silver-Standard Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
An interest in drug development led Kallie to a cooperative education (Co-Op) with Charles River Laboratories. Employed as a Sample Management Technician, Kallie gained valuable hands-on laboratory skills through this Co-Op position that are integral in the field of biomedical studies. Kallie aspires to further her vocational education and training, obtain a degree in biomedical engineering, and work with medical devices and regenerative medicine in her professional career.
