Introducing our new school resource officer, Sgt. Steve Mahan, a 24-year veteran of the Hopedale Police Department. Sgt. Mahan has held various positions in his tenure such as Detective, Court Officer, Sexual Assault Investigator, Field Training Supervisor, just to name a few. Sgt. Mahan is excited to take on this new position. When he’s not on duty, you can find him officiating high school football games or coaching the girls’ lacrosse team at Medway High School. Sgt. Mahan is eager to be an active presence in our schools, and rumor has it he may even be getting the department’s first-ever comfort dog to assist him. Please feel free to reach Sgt.
