New Scouts Welcomed
This spring, Troop 1 Hopedale welcomed three new Scouts and their families to the Troop.
Nathan A., Miles P., and Aidan R. crossed over following the Hopedale Pack Blue and Gold Ceremony where they each earned the Arrow of Light, the highest award a Cub Scout can receive.
Hopedale has a strong tradition of Scouting, and our troop is highly active. Highlights from our year have included campouts, competing with other Scout Troops at the Council sponsored Freeze-Out event, and taking a ski trip while earning the Winter Sports merit badge. A few of our members traveled to New York to join thousands of other scouts at the West Point Camporee - this was a unique opportunity and a tremendous success! Our Scouts are looking forward to some exciting upcoming trips including a white-water rafting trip, summer camp at Camp Squanto near Plymouth, MA and a high-adventure excursion to Utah!
Closer to home we take pride in being active members in the Hopedale community, and over the past year, the Troop has provided over 330 volunteer hours supporting local charities, conservation efforts and community programs.
