Model Train Display
Please come into the Bancroft Memorial Library and enjoy the new display of model trains in our display case. Walter Unruh, a library patron and train enthusiast, has set up examples of his trains on tracks for all to enjoy. There is a very little train (z gauge) on a small track up to a larger train (00 gauge) on a larger track. There is even a train that is a telephone!
We would like to thank Walter for setting up this display and sharing his collection with our patrons.

Ongoing Monthly Library Events
Helen Symonds Book Group
The Hopedale Book Discussion Group meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 1:00pm in the Bancroft Memorial Library meeting room. New members are always welcome. If interested in joining the group, please leave your contact information at the Circulation Desk.
The group will meet on Wednesday, February 2 at 1pm to discuss The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett.
“The Vignes twin sisters are identical, growing up together in a small, Southern black community in the 1950’s and running away at age sixteen. We follow the sisters as they take different paths, one returning home and the other passing as white. Brit Bennett produces a story that is at once a riveting, emotional family story and a brilliant exploration of the American history of passing.” –Book Summary
The book to be discussed in March will be The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. “Hannah brings Dust Bowl migration to life in this riveting story of love, courage, and sacrifice.” - Publishers Weekly
