Hopedale DECA Competes at States Competition

Covid-19 did not stop this year’s Hopedale DECA students from continuing to learn new business skills outside of school and competing at rigorous competitions.
This year, 41 Hopedale students qualified to compete at the DECA State Competition! Although the events were held virtually, students still competed in business case study role plays or submitted written research projects and presentations. They also participated in a variety of learning opportunities such as opening and closing ceremonies, leadership workshops, live quiz bowl competitions, and more. Eight teams placed top 12. As well as the Integrated marketing team placing 5th, and the Project Management team placing 2nd! These two team have earned a spot to compete at The Virtual International DECA Competition.
DECA is a nonprofit international club for high school and college students that is organized around an ambitious goal: to improve educational and career opportunities in marketing, management, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship for students. DECA has existed for nearly 75 years and has close to 220,000 student members. Locally, Hopedale DECA is comprised of close to 60 members!
The opportunity to compete at the state competition would not be possible without the support from the incredible sponsors of our program. On behalf of Hopedale DECA, we would like to thank this year’s gold-level sponsors for their generosity, donating $100 or more towards the state competitors. This year’s gold sponsors include CFP Law, Water St. Meat Market, RJ Gallerani, Bright Insurance, Afonso Real Estate, Consigli Construction, Alavi & Braza PC, Astin's Auto Service, Embroidery Bar, Daniel F. Campion, Attorney At Law, b.Luxe Hair and Makeup, Gallerani Construction, Total Granola, and Boston Billing Solutions. Congratulations to all competing students at the state competition and thank you again to our incredible sponsors.
