Select Board makes appointments, accepts resignations and donations, expresses support

At its meetings on Sept. 25 and Oct. 10, the Hopedale Select Board accepted resignations, made appointments, and accepted donations.
The board accepted the resignation of:
• Call Firefighter Juan Ruelas, effective Sept. 18
• Part-Time Public Safety Dispatcher Roberta Lamothe, effective Sept. 28
The board appointed:
• Tyler Alt as Call Firefighter, effective Oct. 1
• Riccilyn MacNeil as part-time public safety dispatcher, effective Oct. 10
The board also accepted the following donations and grants:
• $56,500 donation from anonymous donor to fund legal fees associated with West Street litigation
• $444,870 FEMA grant for Increased Flood Resiliency for Hopedale Pond
The board also voted to send a letter of support for the proposed Open Space and Recreation Plan.
