At its meeting on June 12, the Hopedale Select Board appointed Martha White as Acting Town Administrator effective June 13 through June 26, 2023. 

White has been acting as Interim Executive Assistant and will now serve in the Acting Town Administrator role to cover the gap in time between the departure of Jeff Nutting, who has served as Interim Town Administrator since December, and the arrival of the new Town Administrator, Mitchell Ruscitti of Milford, who starts on June 26. Selectperson Bernie Stock made the motion to appoint White. 

“For those of you that don’t know, Martha White has an abundance of knowledge in municipal government; has a history in Milford on the Planning Board, and other towns,” said Stock. “When Martha and Jeff [Nutting] were upstairs together in that office, there was probably…about 75 to 80 years worth of municipal experience in this building; and I mean, it was top notch stuff so it’s a pleasure that I nominate Martha to be the Acting Town Administrator.”
